When you're not having much luck in your job search, it can be tempting to blame it on the poor economy.
Yes, on average, there are less opportunities.
Yes, companies hiring practices normally have little regard or care for their applicants, because they usually have more than enough to pick from.
Yes, cost of living and inflation have sky-rocketed and most people haven't saved enough money in their piggy banks.

However, even in a poor economy, it is a fact that there are still millions of job vacancies every month.  So, why can't you be one of the "lucky" ones that manages to fill one of those vacancies?

You certainly can be!  When there is increased competition, you may just need to upgrade your job-hunting skills and do something that the competition is NOT doing to make yourself STANDOUT from the competition.  It would make sense to take a non-traditional route, but do something that has been already tested so you don't come across as a weirdo and blow your chance with a perfectly good opportunity that fits your experience & skill-set.  For more details about the non-traditional route that I'm referring to, just send me an email or give me a call.

The second thing you need to do is check your attitude.  Learn to focus on doing what is within your power, and not wasting emotional energy worrying about what is not.  Seek out a supportive group/person to encourage you.  Look at failed attempts as a learning experience. You are probably responsible for providing for yourself and/or your family, so get tough and persevere.
